Skincare Benefits of Milk
Milk is my favorite, not just as a drink but also as a skincare ingredient and these are the reasons:
Milk contains lactic acid that clears out pores and washes away acne-causing bacteria that can accumulate on the surface of skin throughout the day. It also reduces redness and inflammation that make a new zit seem so noticeable.

It mildly exfoliates skin
Not only is the lactic acid in milk an amazing cleansing and acne treatment, but it’s also an amazing exfoliating agent. Lactic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). It is a mild yet potent acid that breaks down dead skin with ease for a baby-soft skin.

It lightens skin
Aside from lactic acid that removes the topmost layer of damaged skin revealing bright and glowing skin, milk also has vitamin B12 that helps lighten skin tone and correct unevenness.

It moisturizes skin
Lactic acid moisturizes and nourishes the skin, in addition to that, milk also has vitamin A that treats dry and flaky skin, biotin that revitalizes cracked skin, and vitamin B6 that keeps skin moisturized and healthy by promoting new skin cell formation.

It reduces signs of aging
Aside from the presence of vitamin B6 in milk that promotes formation of new skin cells, Vitamin D is the major nutrient present in milk which promotes skin elasticity and boosts collagen production, all while protecting our skin from free radicals caused by pollution which can cause premature signs of aging. Protein in milk is also good for tissue repair and growth.
