HOW TO GET FULLER BROWS WITH A PENCIL

Brow pencils are not just for those with excessively tweezed or thinning brows; they're for everyone! Unless you are a genetically engineered superhuman with the power to regulate the growth of your hair, it is possible that you will experience some patchiness in your brows from time to time—this includes those with naturally defined brows. This is why it's important to A) own an eyebrow pencil and B) understand how to use it to make your brows appear fuller.

Find Your Perfect Brow Shape

Finding the ideal brow form is crucial when filling in your brows; otherwise, you're essentially drawing beyond the lines. You've probably heard that altering your brow shape will fully transform your appearance, and this is real. If you're unsure of where to begin and end your eyebrows, or where the arch should be, check out this tutorial on how to form and define your brows.

Brush Them Up

After determining your form, it's time to begin the fill-in process. We like to begin by brushing eyebrow hairs upward with a Spoolie Brush—one is included on the back end of our Retractable Brow Pencil. This helps expose your brow's true shape and also highlights any patchy areas that could use some extra attention.

Add Powder for a Deeper Color

Use quick, dash-like strokes to fill in your brows. Assure that your strokes follow the path of your hair. That is, on the tail portion of your brow, the strokes should be downward, but when you approach the head of your brow (near your nose), the strokes should be upward.

Brush Them Out & Set Them

If you want to enhance the appearance of our brows even more, you can layer brow powder over the eyebrow pencil. To add depth to your brows, use the angle brush and powder included in the GreatShape Eyebrow Kit. Brush the powder onto the outer two-thirds of your brows using the same quick strokes. Maintain a powder-free inner third of your brows to aid in creating a natural gradient look.

The Best Eyebrow Pencil Shade for You

As critical as it is to understand how to fill in your brows to make them appear fuller, we all know how critical it is to use the correct shade of Retractable Brow Pencil. That is why we have five shades to match almost every brow color (with the exception of pink and blue—try our lip or eye pencils instead if you enjoy dying your brows fun colors!). The trick to note is that while most brunettes have eyebrows that match their hair color, those with grey, blonde, or red hair usually have brows that are slightly darker than their natural hair color.
